Kelli Sandman-Hurley
Kelli Sandman-Hurley has been a Literacy Tutor/Learner Coordinator for READ/San Diego, the adult literacy program of the San Diego Public Library for more than nine years. She is involved in adult literacy coalitions and networks throughout the state of California as well as being involved in providing Professional Development for parents, tutors, educational administrators, teachers, adult learners and adult literacy professionals. She is trained in Lindamood-Bell and the Wilson Reading System. Kelli has presented at the California Library Association (CLA) Conference, Commission on Adult Basic Education (COABE) Conference, San Diego Council on Literacy Adult (SDCOL) Learner Conference, SDCOL, READ/San Diego Tutor Conference, Southern California Library Literacy Network (SCLLN) Conference, SCLLN Professional Development Day, and the San Diego Council on Literacy Professional Development meeting and Glendora Public Library. Kelli is has also been published in a peer review journal.

Kelli Sandman-Hurley has a Masters Degree in Education and is a doctoral candidate in Literacy at San Diego State University and the University of San Diego, where she is studying Dyslexia. She is a board member of the California Library Association Literacy Section, Southern California Library Literacy Network (SCLLN), Vice President of the International Dyslexia Association (IDA), San Diego Branch and the SDSU Doctoral Student Council of Education.

Tracy Block
Tracy Block has been a Literacy Tutor/Learner Coordinator for READ/San Diego, the adult literacy program of the San Diego Public Library for more than 12 years. She has been a tutor trainer for 10 years; has revised and updated the tutor training modules; selects materials, teaching techniques and strategies for individual tutor/learner pairs; develops curriculum; conducts assessments and trains volunteer assessors; coordinated workplace literacy programs; conducts workshops in a variety of adult literacy topics; tutored children and adults with learning disabilities; developed the Families For Literacy Program at READ/San Diego; and worked on the national initiative, Equipped for the Future, with the National Institute for Literacy.

She is trained in Lindamood-Bell and the Wilson Reading System. Tracy has presented at California Library Literacy Services (CLLS) Profession Development Retreat, Commission on Adult Basic Education (COABE), California Literacy (CalLit) Conference, San Diego Council on Literacy (SDCOL) Adult Learner Conference, SDCOL AmeriCorps Training, READ/San Diego Tutor Conference, Southern California Library Literacy Network (SCLLN) Conference, SCLLN Professional Development Day and Literacy Volunteers of America (LVA). She has facilitated a round-table discussion at the International Reading Association (IRA) Conference and facilitated panel discussions for the California Library Literacy Services AmeriCorps Training. Tracy serves on the board for the International Dyslexia Association, San Diego branch.
