| We provide customized workshops depending
on the needs of our clients. The workshops can be presented
in three hours, six hours or multiple days. They can include
simulations, research, and research based techniques for
instruction. We design workshops that are interactive and
tailored to the specific audience. We have experience training
teachers (preschool and K-12), administrators, parents,
adult literacy professionals, low literate adults, and volunteer
tutors.
Some of the topics covered in our workshops include:
• Defining Dyslexia
• Discussion of the recent scientific advances in
the field of dyslexia
• Discussion of the continuum of dyslexia, that
no two students will present with the same symptoms, and
the need to modify remediation for the individual student’s
needs
• In depth discussion of techniques that are reported
to be successful with students who have dyslexia
• Types of testing and classroom and testing accommodations
